East Tennessee Non-Profit RESTORE UKRAINE to exhibit and auction artwork rescued from the war.
RESTORE UKRAINE would like to formally invite you to an exhibition and auction this December featuring artwork created by Ukrainians. As war continues to devastate families throughout the country, humanitarian support is more important than ever.
Supporters and media partners will have the unique opportunity to come to the Knoxville Museum of Art on December 2nd from 1 pm to 3.30 pm for an afternoon of cultural exchange and appreciation for Ukrainian art.
Visitors can join a silent auction featuring mixed-media paintings revolving around understanding the theme “What is UKRAINE?” and the personal testimonies of many Ukrainian and several regional American artists.
Each piece pulls from perspectives that were scarred by the war and represents a significant story about the country’s culture and hopes.
The paintings, which have never been shown in the US before, will serve as a window into the soul of Ukrainian communities. The selection before you will represent the varied dreams of the Ukrainian and American artists who have seen their souls shaken to their core.
That's why RESTORE UKRAINE has worked for months to rescue this art from the battleground - to exhibit and share the stories from the frontlines right here in East Tennessee.
All ticket sales, donations, and auction revenues will give East Tennesseans a special chance to support winterization efforts and bring Christmas gifts to thankful Ukrainians! Due to the ongoing destruction and unpredictable power outages, RESTORE UKRAINE will complete the purchase of some of the most in-demand items for frontline communities - portable gas stoves. When electricity becomes scarce and unreliable, gas stoves and cartridges offer a great winter holiday gift to help each family prepare food.
Working with the following sponsors, RESTORE UKRAINE has been able to rescue this art from the battleground - to exhibit and share the stories from the frontlines.
